From My Heart

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight. – Proverbs 3:5-6 -NIV

Do you have a “difficult” person in your life?

I’m sure everyone who reads this has sometime in their life had a difficult person cross their path. As Christian women we are called to be peacemakers, be reconcilled to those you have had conflict with and forgive those who persecute us.
Romans 12:14-18 tells us
“Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice; weep with those who weep. Be in agreement with one another. Do not be proud; instead, associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own estimation. Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Try to do what is honorable in everyone’s eyes. If possible, on your part, live at peace with everyone.”
This list itself is a challenge and difficult to accomplish on our own. However, we serve a God who equips us for every challenge we face.
Still knowing this the “difficult” person is one I struggled with seeing minimal success. I prayed that God would change my heart and my heart did soften. Then another offense would come my way and I was back to square one. One day I was given some very good advise from a wise man; my husband. Of course he had is “pastor hat” on at the time. He said instead of praying for yourself why don’t you pray for them? I tried it and it made a world of difference.
I will elaborate on the results another time.
For now I want to hear from you all.
What have your experiences been with difficult people in your lives?
What has helped the situation?
What has hindered healing process?
Have you tried praying for them?
I want to hear from you………………Let’s Talk!
